If America is forcing people that move here, from a diffrent place, has to learn english should we have to learn their language if we move to where they come from?

I think that if others that come to America have to learn to speak english, I think we should have to. Also to understandwhat the people are going through.

Samoan Festival

On May 12, 2006

What my class (the adventurers, at Pacific Horizons School) were trying to do was learn a Samoan dance that we could preform on Samoa Day.

We would do this to remember Samoan history, raise a little bit of money for the school, and let us learn a Samoan dance.

We learned the dance by Mrs.Leti. She tought us by showing us the moves and letting us listen to the music. We practiced the dance over and over again. Sometimes when we danced the other classes here would come and watch us, and that helped us get a feeling of preforming infront of an audience.

Eventually we got the dance correct, and the school now has enough money for maybe some extra stuff. I hope it's P.E. stuff.

There are very few large fish left in Pago Pago.

Coral have diseases that cause them to die.

Overpopulation in American Samoa which causes overfishing.

Today we have to figure out what chromosomes are. Also what karyotype are. We are answering questions, that are for us, on http://phsadventurers.blogspot.com/ ,it's my classes class blog. Anyway here is what I found for the answers.

1. What is a karyotype? A karyotype is an image of all the chromosomes match up in pairs, and lined up from biggest to smallest.

2. What do scientists use karyotype for? they take pictures of it.

Today we are switching out with the explorers from P.E. with the computer lab. It's pretty bad, but now we get to have P.E. tomorrow, so it's ok I guess. After this I can play games so I'm gone.

International Fair

This week is a handful. my group and I have to present on four diffrent countrys in Asia. It's hard, but it will be fun. My parents are comming to help my group present. By the way the fair is TONIGHT!!! I think were done with our work, but it's still very confusing on where we set up and how we set up. We still have half a day to work so I'm not worried. Well, better get back to work. Don't want to be behind.

The book Julie of the Wolves was AWESOME!!! It was cool where she found her father at the end of the story.
At school still and after this computer class is recess.
Our school is doing something on the 25th of this month, April. We have to do research on a country. Then we get booths and find some stuff like clothes, food, books on the country, flag, and maybe even some traditional things.
Were aloud to do more than one country, and I am going to do one more contry than we have to. I'm doing Korea.

Well in class again, and recess in a little bit. My friend sitting right beside me is commenting my blog. It's very wierd. In Julie of the Wolves Julie thinks about her past. Then she finds the wolves again and the lemmings are comming back so she might be able to just maybe get back.
One thing theat was wierd is that before she left Daniel her husband tryied to have sex.
That is freaky, and crazy.

Hello, Dylan again and in class as always. I'm going to write about last week in class. Well we made a human size drawing of ourselves and it was very freaky, but fun. We had to draw things that represented us. I drew a basketball and football, and a cd player. Also some other sports that I like and love I wrote down.

This week we're studying cells, ukuleles, and the other regular stuff.

Well I need to go. It's time to change subjects.

Hello,

It's Dylan again and we have to write on our book again so here goes nothing.

Ok, so my group, Aleah, Meredith, Armand, and Quinn, read fifteen pages last night (which means all of us are on page 30), and it was very interesting.

What happened is that Miyax in the last fifteen pages was accepted into the wolf pack, played with the baby wolves, hoped to find food, and found some peas for her to eat for dinner.

Also if you want to know more about me I'll tell you. Well I'm part Korean part Texan, I've lived in Texas for 10 years, and I collect weapons and stuffed things.

Hello,

This is Dylan. I'm eleven years old. In the 5th grade, and i love football!

Yesterday, our teacher let us pick out of three books to read for this quarter. The book I chose to read is Julie of the Wolves. In the first chapter I learned that the main charcters of the chapter and maybe the whole book is Miyax and Amoraq (the leader of a wolve pack.) Miyax is stranded in the Artic and is very hungry. She watches how the wolves act and then she acts like them to become one of the pack members. That's where the chapter ends, but know that shes part of the pack she's going to get some food. That will fill her up.

Anyway I'm in Mr. Hatcher's class, and were in our last quarter. If you want to know where we live in it's American Samoa. It's very fun here it rains a lot, but you can go to the ocean almost every day. They have very good views of the ocean.
